Cataratas Hotel
The only hotel project located in the Iguassu National Park, in Foz do Iguassu, the Cataratas Hotel provides one of the richest experiences for the visitors: the breathtaking views of the waterfalls with the sophistication of the projects from the Orient-Express group. Since October 1st, 2007, the Cataratas Hotel has undergone extensive renovations under the administration of a company that also owns hotels, trains and luxury cruises. The facilities have been improved, adapted and rebuilt to fit the new standards, which modernized the elegant two story building constructed in a Portuguese colonial style.
With 52 years of operations, the Cataratas Hotel was finally completed in November 2010. It is the project of the French architect Michel Jouannet, who also led the reforms of the Copacabana Palace, another enterprise from the Orient-Express in Brazil.
The Cataratas Hotel contributes to foment Foz do Iguassu as a national and international destination on the local market and abroad, promoting the local image and of the country as a whole.
Structure & accommodations
The apartments are divided into seven categories: superior, luxury garden, luxury forest, noble suite, junior suit, waterfall suite and tower suite. The hotel also has two spacious conference rooms with capacity for over 200 people.
Restaurants & bars
The food and entertainment structure at the Cataratas Hotel is composed of two restaurants, Ipe Grill, located next to the pool and the Itaipu, with a pleasant outdoor terrace – as well as the Pool Bar and the Taroba Bar. They provide valued international cuisine with a pinch of Brazilian taste from local ingredients.

The Cataratas Hotel offers a variety of entertainment options in its vicinity. In addition, the Iguassu National Park provides a fantastic natural park, with many opportunities to experience wide range of adventure sports. It also has heated pools with negative border for adults and children, brand new spa and fitness center, gift shops, free internet center and travel agency.
